AGT GROUP is an umbrella of the following privately owned companies operating in East and Central Africa:

AGRO-GENETIC TECHNOLOGIES LTD (AGT Laboratories): Is the first private company in Uganda to use biotechnology thru tissue culture techniques for micro propagation of different crops on a commrecial basis.
AGT Laboratories is currently the biggest tissue culture laboratory in East and Central Africa with the capacity to produce up-to 10 million plantlets per year (depending on the type of crop).
AGT Foods : is a subsidiary of AGT Group that deals in food packaging of fresh, processed and dry foods of different types for local and international markets.
AGT Foods is the pioneer of selling packed & vacuum packed matooke (Green Cooking Banana) - in kilograms- in East African supermarkets.
AGT Real Estates: is a subsidiary of AGT Group that deals in real estate development, which includes selling and buying of land & houses, as well as construction of residential houses in East Africa.
Eriestero Investments Ltd: AGT GROUPS subsidiary dealing in production of fragrant and medicinal crops including adding value to them to produce essential oils, perfume, and herbal tea.
Mr. Erostus Nsubuga is the proprietor of AGT Group and he is the Chairman and Chief Executive. Mr.Nsubuga is a Swedish citizen born in Uganda. He is an entrpreneur with vast experience in international marketing in Africa, Asia and Europe. He has worked for 10 years for Ericsson AB Telecommunication company in Stockholm, Sweden as Sales and Marketing Manager for Africa and Asia.
He Pioneered in setting up the first Mobile Cellular Telecommunication Network in East and Central Africa, Celtel - now Airtel Uganda, where he worked as Sales and Marketing Director for 5 years..
He is the pioneer of Mobile World International BV, a Dutch company dealing in distribution of Mobile Cellular telecommunication products for different network operators in Africa where he worked as Managing Director for 3 years.
Mr.Nsubuga has other responsibilities and some of them are:
- He is the: The Chairman of Uganda Biotechnology and Biosafety Consortium (UBBC):
- Chairman of Buganda Cultural and Development Foundation (BUCADEF):
- Chairman of Swedish-Ugandan Business Association (SUBA):
- Chairman of Tissue Culture Business Network (TCBN) in East and Central Africa:
- He sits on the Presidential Technical Advisory Committee on Business Competortiveness in Uganda unter the Presidential Investors Round Table (PIRT) 2015-2018:
- He sits on CICS committee under the Ministry of Finance in Uganda:
- He is a Board Member of the newly constirtuted organization "The European Business Forum (EBF) in Uganda.
- He was the: Chairman of National Crop Research Resources Institute (NACRRI) in Uganda 2006 - 2009:
- Chairman of Presidential Investors Round Table (PIRT) Agribusiness in Uganda, advising the President of Uganda on Agricultural Business Investments in the country 2007 to 2010.
