What is a Pediatrician? Pediatricians are medical doctors who specialize in the care of children. After medical school, pediatricians spend 3 more years in training taking care of very sick children to prepare for a career in practice. We must pass a test to become board certified in pediatrics. All of our physicians are board certified pediatricians. They must then maintain ongoing pediatric education and testing to maintain their certified status.
