University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital (UMTH) is a federal tertiary teaching hospital in Maiduguri, Borno State, Nigeria. It was commissioned on 23 July 1983 and is the largest teaching hospital in the North-East, with capacity for over 1,300 beds. UMTH offers services across internal medicine, surgery, paediatrics, obstetrics & gynaecology, radiology, pathology, neurology, infectious diseases, emergency medicine, community health, and supports teaching, research, and regional referrals from Borno, Yobe, Adamawa, and neighboring countries.
