Lacam Lodge is situated at Sipi,on the slopes of Mount Elgon, around 4 and a half hours drive from Kampala, and 45 minutes drive from Mbale. By Car - From Kampala Drive to Mbale. Once in Mbale take the Soroti Road and after about 5 minutes drive turn right towards Kapchorwa (there is a signpost). Follow the tarmac road past Sironko. After 30 minutes from Mbale the tarmac road veers to the right and starts climbing about 15 minutes later you reach Sipi Trading Centre. Go through the trading centre and after about 300m, turn left at the Sign for Lacam Lodge just past the police post. By Bus and taxi - Buses and Matatus run regularly from the new and old taxi parks in Kampala. Matatu's run to Sipi (less frequently) from the taxi park on the Soroti Road in Mbale. Special hire taxis from Mbale to Sipi cost about Shs 30,000 if you negiotiate hard enough! Get off 50m past Sipi Police at the sign for Lacam Lodge. The lodge is 150m from the main road.
