Midland began operations in 1970 in the "middle land" of Nova Scotia, which is where our name comes from. Beginning with only six trucks, a handful of workers, and a limited service, we're very proud of our humble beginnings. Midland has now been in the trucking business for more than 40 years and has grown to over 1,500 employees, 1,800 pieces of equipment, and the ability to handle everything from small packages to entire truckloads.
