Who We Are
Jehovah Alive For Old Age (JAFOA) is a non-governmental organization that was established to cater for the social, spiritual, medical and economic needs of the elderly in Uganda, based on the background that this section of the population has largely been forgotten and marginalized by the same society in which they live. They also suffer from different illnesses but cannot access proper medical care. In addition, majorities are also extremely poor and live in squalid conditions. Due to limited resources, Government policies and revenue do not adequately cater for the needs of this population.
JAFOA currently partners with Lavie Foundation in Kenya, Health Nest in Uganda and the National Council of Older Persons in Uganda, The Ministry of Gender, labour and Social Development and other stakeholders to improve the older persons quality of life.
