Masaka social development foundation (MASODEF) is a pro active NGO with community capacity development based values. The NGO has engaged in capacity building for both HIV responses and food insecurity in rural communities focusing on six communities in Kyanamukaka, Kabonera, Kyesiiga, Bukakata and Buwunga sub-counties. Our current plan is to undertake community outreach projects with about 100 beneficiaries in agricultural skill development and fight against HIV/AIDS. Beneficiaries will be organized in six mixed groups to avoid stigma and will be provided with customized extension services to enable them increase food production and incomes. One of the achievements among beneficiaries is their increased ability to use their pieces of land for food crop production as a result of adoption of innovative farming techniques’.
