At NoWAD, we look at the life of the woman holistically and our approach is one of empowerment, we believe that a woman is productive and does not need hand-outs but rather a helping hand. To this end, we teach women what they need to know in order to increase and improve their livelihoods and that of their families. We create opportunities where the women we work with can shine and grow stronger through showing them that knowledge is indeed power. NoWAD believes in the power of women to change their lives and their communities. Yet many women are prevented from enjoying their full human rights because of poverty, discrimination, violence and inequality.
