OSHE Institute Africa (OSHEIA) is a nonprofit institute limited by guarantee at the forefront of safety promotion at work places in Africa. OSHEIA was conceived by a group of individuals from different academic disciplines namely public health, engineering, and social work who observed safety at work places to be precarious and hitherto perceived the need for advocacy for a radical transformation of the safety at work places outlook. OSHEIA started work in August 2014 with experienced staff with vast experience in OSH as herein. OSHEIA promotes safety and health at work places through training, public awareness raising and research. This mainly focuses on working with occupational safety and health partners to harmonize synergies in supporting the establishment of a well-coordinated and regulated safety and health practices.
