Streetlights Uganda is a registered local non-profit organization operating in Kampala that focuses on uplifting lives of children living on the streets using art both performing and visual as tools for empowerment along with addressing some of the reasons these children end up on the streets. Unearthing Potential Streetlights Uganda commits its self to meeting the needs of street-connected children by working in many creative and innovative ways of bringing art and empowerment to “street connected children”. Through Affirmative Art, Streetlights helps young people shift their focus to follow their dreams and find those who support their dreams. They also help street connected children learn to create art products for selling instead of begging.
