Excel Construction Limited over the last year has undergone training and audit for the implementation of ISO 9001: 2008 Quality Management Systems in the construction industry. The company underwent the final audit in March 2011 and was subsequently awarded the certificate. Twenty members of the company’s projects’ staff also underwent training through the engagement of services from a UK based Consultant in “Managing Safely in Construction” , a five day course that is fully recognized by the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) – U.K. These are part of a number of initiatives that the Management of the company is undertaking to meet the growing demands of the construction industry both in Uganda and the region.
