About Network of Ugandan Researchers and Research Users (NURRU)
The Network of Ugandan Researchers & Research Users (NURRU) was established in 1994 by representatives of 25 Ugandan research and research user organisations, with support from the Government of the Netherlands. NURRU, a registered NGO, brings together researchers and research users to tackle some of Uganda’s daunting socio-economic problems, through research and research output utilization. NURRU conducts research for socio-economic development aimed at poverty eradication in the country. Poverty eradication and socio-economic development were, at NURRU’s inception, identified as some of Uganda’s most daunting problems that needed special attention.
