On the 12th of August 2014, the Evangelical University in Africa (UEA) has officially inaugurated a new building in which the Faculty of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences is housed . Several political and military authorities as well as church leaders, teachers, students and members of the government attended the opening ceremony. The construction of this building, the Ruhigita campus, took 28 months, and was named after the founder of UEA, the late Reverend Ruhigita Ndagora. Under the direct supervision of the current chancellor Prof. Gustave Mushagalusa assisted by members of the management committee, the academic, scientific and administrative board members of UEA, ENTREC Company, meticulously executed the construction project which is now a distinguished architectural gem for the province of South Kivu.
