Kapi Limited is primarily a formulator and manufacturer of natural pyrethrum insecticides – for the home, for public health applications, and for agricultural use. We have been manufacturing insecticides in Nakuru, Kenya since 1964, and are well known for the quality and efficacy of our products. You can always buy our products with confidence. We are a family owned business, and a Private Limited Company. KAPI Limited manufactures and distributes insecticides for use in the home, for personal use, for Public Health applications, and for agriculture. Kapi Limited is based in Nakuru in the Great Rift Valley region of Kenya and we operate from two factories with a staff of around 165 people. We were founded in 1964, and we have always been a family owned and run business. Whilst the owner, Ian Shaw is British, he is a Kenyan resident with a mantra of only employing Kenyans within his business. Ian is proud of the 100% Kenyan management team who have supported him and developed Kapi Limited into the successful business it is today.
Our products are very well known in the Kenyan market under the “Flower” Brand and our products are found in all the best supermarkets, chemists and agrovets. Our products are used by the top Pest Control Companies as well as being used by most of the largest commercial farms.
We are proud of our traditional links with pyrethrum, and most of our best selling products are manufactured with pyrethrum. We wholeheartedly support the Kenyan pyrethrum industry.
In recent years Kapi Limited has expanded its horizons to include exports to a number of countries worldwide. We have a number of registrations in the ‘pipeline’ for other countries. By 2023 Kapi Limited expects that exports will account for more sales than the local market.
