Welcome to the Lupane State University through this web site which is intended to give you an overview of life and work at the University. The vision of our University is to be an international premier university in research based knowledge, teaching and learning. Our mission is to contribute positively to research-based knowledge for the development of communities in keeping with our motto which is Building Communities through Knowledge LSU was established by an Act of Parliament (Chapter 25:25) of 2004 and started its operations in August 2005 with a pioneer group of 12 students enrolled to pursue a General Degree in Agricultural Sciences. Today the University has three faculties and above three thousand students cared for by a workforce of about three hundred employees and poised to grow to even greater heights. The University has had five successful graduation ceremonies and has graduated hundreds of students including diploma holders.
