First Air Responder (FAR) is an emergency medical evacuation scheme operating within East Africa. We operate using reputable air charter companies based in the north and south of Tanzania and The Flying Doctors (AMREF) in Nairobi, Kenya. We can mobilize fixed wing or rotor wing depending on location and emergency. We use our own Advanced Life Support ambulances for all ground handling, airport/hospital transfer and for emergencies on the ground. We have Knight Support ambulances in Arusha/Moshi, Mwanza and Dar es Salaam, and access to ground support in Zanzibar, Mbeya, Dodoma and Tanga. FAR is a membership scheme for Tourist and residents in East Africa. You can cover yourself from as little as 14 days up to 1 year to ensure that wherever you are in East Africa we will come to your assistance in the event of an Emergency Ground or Air evacuation.
