The KCBL was established with two basic objectives: ? To mobilize savings from the public, especially co operatives ? To lend the same to the public particularly in rural areas for the advancement of production, crop marketing and other service activities of the rural population The main objective is to assist people at grassroots level at obtaining adequate financial services through their SACCOS. Hence the SACCOS are considered as an important link between the Bank and the rural majority. Although the shares holding/ownership is limited to the co operatives, the services offered are for all people, like any other commercial Bank i.e., it is open to the public. Mission The Bank exists to provide efficient and appropriate financial and ancillary services to Co-operatives and their surrounding communities in its area of operation.
