About Fonds de Solidarité des Travailleurs de l’Enseignement
The Education Workers Solidarity Fund, FSTE, is a savings and credit cooperative created in 1985. Initially, it was formed only by workers in the education sector. Since 2012, it has opened to other members such as officials from other ministries, traders, artisans and farmers who can apply for membership, in accordance with resolutions of the 22nd General Assembly. The FSTE now has a single point of service, which is the headquarters in Bujumbura to serve its members throughout the country.
