About Nonophela Travel
Pernille is an accredited adventure site guide specialising in mountain guiding up to 2700 metres above sea level. She has certified First Aid qualifications and years of hiking experience. Pernille grew up in Kristiansand, Norway, surrounded by mountains and sea.She moved to Cape Town in 2004 to work for the Desmond Tutu Peace Trust and later managed an art exchange project for the Robben Island Museum. Her year in Khayelitsha, working for Philani Maternal, Child Health & Nutrition Trust, was a baptism of fire. Pernille had 6 years experience from the tourism industry in South Africa before launching Nonophela Travel in June 2019. She is an active Board Member of www.masicreativehub.org a Non Profit Organisation in Masiphumelele, Cape Town.
