The Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria, FRCN, Africa’s largest radio network with six zonal stations operating on short and medium wave bands and two operations centres.

The Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria is the pioneer broadcast organization in Nigeria with a rich culture of excellence. The Corporation has evolved through different stages to become what it is today-the largest Radio Network in Africa. Available records reveal that Radio Broadcasting was introduced into Nigeria in 1933 by the then Colonial Government. It relayed the overseas service of the British Broadcasting Corporation through wired system with loudspeakers at the listening end.
